Tuesday - Painting and Exploring

Today, we went into the park and painted our first painting of the "Watchman". The scenes are so overwhelming. We painted til about noon, and went back to the house for lunch. Then we loaded onto the free shuttle buses and explored the park. We got off at several of the stops and took lots of pictures.

When we got back to town mid-afternoon, we stopped at a local bakery and bought two fresh Bumbleberry pies and ice cream. We heated them in the oven and topped them with ice cream. Then we got out the paints once more and painted from the deck of the house. Everyone was pretty pooped. 

Tomorrow we are making a full day of painting once again. We are going to drive to one site, paint there in the morning, eat a picnic lunch, then ride the shuttle further into the park (where you can't drive personal vehicles) and paint for the rest of the afternoon. 

Thursday we are going on a field trip outside the park.
